Our adventure to OGDEN

We had so much fun this last weekend in OGDEN, yes OGDEN. They have a thing called RAMP where several activities are free on Saturdays throughout the summer. We went to the Ogden Depot which was actually soooo cool. The kids were amazed at how big those old trains were, and they loved the small toy trains that ran throughout the museam. We also stopped at the treehouse museum which was free too. Riley got to be in a play and he loved that. We stopped off at the Farr's Ice Cream shop for some of their bargain bucket treats at 5 for a dollar. They have fat boys and klondikes, but of course Riley picked a Pace bar. We also had discount tickets to the movies and to the pizza factory so we saw Toy Story 3 and loved it. I think the most exciting part was watching the IFLY simulator. There were skydivers that did tricks in a glass tube. We thought that was sooo cool. What a fun day. We will have to do Ogden more often!

Fun at the cabin

We had a great time at the cabin over the 4th of July. We went to a parade, swimming, played tennis, went to a rodeo, and had fun fishing. I forgot my camera for most of the fun, but got some pictures of the kids looking for squirrels. Oh well we have some great memories to keep even without the pictures!

Another cute project

These are some more cupboard doors from a yard sale. I found the vinyl saying at a yard sale this week and the two bottom doors have hooks to hang pictures. Each door was a dollar and the vinyl was thrown in with a kids bike, so I paid next to nothing for these. CUTE!

Grandma Mathews visit

We had fun having Grandma Mathews up for a visit. She read to the kids and we went down and visited at Grandma Tervort's house. We love our Grandma's!

Look What I made

I bought this cabinet door from a yard sale, painted it white, sanded the entire thing, rubbed a stain over it, then glued some name badge clips on it for picture. Fun!

SIMPLIFY

So I have been doing some thinking, and I know that is dangerous, but I am determined to Simplify my life. No more rushing to and fro, No more recleaning the stuff that the kids took out of my junk drawer to find something, No more feeling like I have to be somewhere, and never really getting anywhere. I am going to read more to my kids, they grow up too fast. I am going to get rid of more stuff, it's just stuff. I am going to stop thinking about how great tommorrow is going to be and make today great! What a concept. Simplify. (You're asthmatic, you're robotic, you're evil, It's just too much, and what is with the cape, are you going to the opera, I don't think so...) from the night at the museam if I lost a few of you. The bad guy is talking to Darth Vader.

Happy Birthday Riley

Can you believe my baby boy is 9!!!! I sure can't. We had a great day at the Boondocks fun center. Grandpa, Grandma, and Kaylee came to spend the night and play with us. We had a great time and Riley got to ride as many things as he wanted for free. I didn't get more pictures, but we made him a star wars cake that was AWESOME (his words). We sure love Riley. He is the best big brother and always a sweetie. I realized that I need to hug him more. He is growing up too fast and before I know it he'll be all grown.

Fun Family Camp Out

We had a great time camping with Grandma, Grandpa and lots of cousins. The kids loved playing in the street with scooters, which about drove Grandma crazy, and making hot smores. We loved the little hikes, and even went on a giagantic hike that Uncle Tony thought was much shorter. We had fun though, and loved the 2 trailers Grandpa bought for us to sleep in. We have since tried another hike and loved it and look forward to going on lots more.

I don't remember if I posted these pictures before, but Jacob is in baseball. He is really good too!!!! He can hit the coach pitched ball and has a really nice swing. The coach was impressed and asked him if he had been practicing, but nope, he's just a natural. We need to practice more with him because he could be a pro. The other pictures are ones that the kids took without me knowing. Funny!

Lydia is a princess!!!

Poor Lydie had a urinary tract infection last week. We had to go to the emergency room and they found out what was wrong. She is so sweet and smily, and it was weird for her to be sad, but we got her on antibiotics before the trip and she was back to her sweet angelic self. We love you Lydia. Six months old!

St. George

St. George was beautiful on the drive home. We stayed and played in the park with the kids. They loved it, and we were glad to sit and relax at the end of our journey. Adam took Audrie and Riley to the Brigham Young home. We had fun, but we were glad to come home, the happiest place on earth!

Trip To Disneyland

Disneyland was fun. The kids loved the jedi training academy as always, and we loved all of the pretty flowers. Lydia was a good baby for the trip and she loved Small World and Winnie the Pooh!

Grandma Mathews house!!

We loved playing at Grandma's house, even more than Disneyland. Her yard is so pretty and the weather is perfect. We could have stayed in that little piece of heaven forever. The kids loved playing on the Jazzy's and we even roasted marshmellows with Uncle Paul and Aunt Laura. Some of the Ghost stories were hillarious. We had so much fun in the hot tub and Grandma is definately the hostest with the mostest!

Audrie's choir concert

Audrie did such a great job at her Choral Collection performance. She dances and sings to some really fun songs. Our favorite was called " life's what you make it so lets make it ROCK!" and she plays a fake electric guitar. Grandma Nona and Grandpa and Grandma Tervort were there to cheer her on. We left right after to head to California, but we are so glad we got to watch Audrie first. You are amazing!!!

Thought I would share.

I bore my testimony today at church and thought it was a cute experience that I should share. Adam was gone for buisness this last week and I was having a rough time with him gone. One day I told the kids that I was going to lie down in my room for awhile. Isaac, my 3 year old added " and Mom, say a prayer!" Well I took my little guys advice and got on my knees. I felt lifted from my burdens and able to face the rest of the week with added strength. I am thankful for the knowledge that I have of a loving Heavenly Father who will help us if we ask, and for a little 3 year old who reminded me to not try and go it alone!

We're so glad when Daddy comes home!!

We had fun with Daddy tonight. He was away for buisness for a week and to celebrate his arrival home we had a roast for dinner than went to the store to buy a family game of Hungry Hungry Hippo. So much fun!! We sure love our Daddy!!!

A Day in the Park

Can we say HOORAY FOR SUNSHINE!! We had some fun waiting for Audrie to be done with her afterschool program and played on the school playground. I am amazed at Riley's arm strength on the monkey bars. He swings his whole body high into the air without even trying. I tried and failed. He informed me it was just because my body was too big. Isaac and Jacob thought they were really big playing at the school. I love my boys!

Hats

My boys have had a thing for hats lately. Tonight they were watching the winter olympics with their winter hats. I thought it was funny and that I needed to document it!
